It is a great privilege to lead this unique and special school. Set in the idyllic Cotswolds, Kitebrook provides an outstanding all-round education where children are allowed to develop at their own pace in a happy and supportive environment that inspires self confidence and a sense of independence.
In 1959 Anne McDermott set up Kitebrook with the aim to run a school that would not just provide academic rigour, but a place where the school would work together like a family, encouraging freedom of thought, individual development and mutual respect and trust. We are proud to say that these core values remain.
We want all our children to feel at home here, with the freedom to roam around the grounds in their free time. Kitebrook boys and girls make dens, climb trees and enjoy being children! High academic standards, a varied curriculum, specialist teaching and a wonderful environment - all in all, an ‘Enid Blyton’ existence with ambition! We passionately believe that a child’s school days should be some of the happiest of their lives. That is why we work so hard to ensure every child looks back at their time here and says, ‘I really loved my school!”
