The evening started with two spirituals, followed by music from Lloyd Webber, Abba and Samuel Wesley, showing what a versatile choir Arboretum has become in a very short space of time. Interspersed with readings chosen by Gail Mills especially for the evening, and solo items from Melissa Friessner-Day, Sandy Johnston and Connie Sale, the entire concert was an outstanding success and the audience obviously appreciated every minute of it. Arboretum will start meeting again on Wednesday 15th September at Hillside: the first half of term will be spent working on general musicianship, sight singing and anything else! From half term onwards, we will be learning our Christmas programme ready for the next concert! If you would like to sing with us, no matter how good or bad you think you are, please speak to Mrs Barrie at Hillside on a Monday or a Wednesday, or email her.
