Outdoor Education

Kitebrook is very proud to include Outdoor Education as part of its rich curriculum. At least once a week, all year groups will take part in some form of outdoor learning. We use our forest school, the newly developed walled garden, and all our stunning grounds, to help inspire our children to love the outdoors and develop many different practical skills.

Our Outdoor Education falls into three categories:

The first is learning about the value of the outdoors; be it nature, farming, animals or the developing seasons.

The second is taking the curriculum outdoors; Mathematics, English, Drama or History, the children will get chance to work and explore the practical nature of their subjects out in the open air. What could be a more inspiring way to write a powerful story in your very own secret garden?

The final area is linked to Growth Mindset. We are very proud of our children's ability to focus, persevere and collaborate with all. Many practical activities will help them to enhance all their personal and social skills, whilst having plenty of fun along the way.
