Tree Climbing

“In my childhood I led the life of a sage, when I grew up I started climbing trees”

Philip Roth

Kitebrook is so very fortunate in finding itself immersed in swathes of glorious countryside. The children are even grouped: Ash, Beech, Cedar and Oak as these trees and many more are found in abundance in the school grounds. So much fun can be had at break times when climbing to the top; with friends it is even better.

Some of the trees have ropes to help the children reach their way around the trunk. Platforms, ladders and rope swings only serve to add to the sense of adventure. Sometimes, if someone gets stuck, a teacher will climb up and help them down; but they certainly don’t mind!
